When planning your next company picnic, company BBQ, or any special event, the Alameda County Fair has 7 beautiful picnic areas for any size corporate event. We can accommodate corporate team building events, company meetings, holiday parties, corporate conference meetings, and most corporate outings. 

On Site Catering

When it's time to plan that upcoming company event, consider the picturesque setting of the Fairgrounds and the quality on-site catering we offer. You'll get the best of both worlds right next door.
The Alameda County Fairgrounds offer turn-key assistance in menu planning, decorations, staging, props, entertainment, recreation and even parking is offered on-site with personal style. Catering options are virtually unlimited. Our talented chefs and event coordinators are renowned for creating any theme, special décor or style of cuisine. Indeed, we offer a variety of exceptional menu plans inspired by culinary influences from around the world and that appeal to unique market and regional tastes.

Our menus are flexible and offer the variety to appeal to any group’s desired budget or size – from the most upscale cuisine requests to basic boxed lunches and retail food services.

Team Building

Looking to add some teambuilding activities to your event? We have a variety of programs that can help ignite the kind of fire and enthusiasm that makes your team invincible. We'll inspire teamwork, commitment and cooperation mixed in with a day filled with interaction and fun.

Why not have truly unique experience with your team. With 267 acres of scenic, park like grounds, a full service caterer and over ten buildings to choose from. We can provide a custom environment for your group to enjoy the day.

Example Teambuilding Afternoon

1:00 P.M. Arrive at Fairgrounds (break into groups of approximately 20-25)
 Three team building events related to the fairgrounds will be experienced through out the afternoon.

1. Tour of our Satellite Wagging Facility learn how horse racing works, bet on your favorite horse in an actually horse race, compete with the other two groups to see who horse wins. Win a price based on your expertise.
2. Participate in various fair competitions- build your own product and test it a wine judging, floral judging and other real fair competitions.
3. Tour the Fairgrounds- experience behind the scenes how the fair staff manages to produce over 350 events every year. (GoodGuys Car Show, The Scottish Games and of course THE FAIR.

5:00 P.M. Meet back at our Palm Pavillion our onsite events center  for a dinner planned especially for you by our wonderful Chef. The menu can be fun food or formal depending on the mood you want to accomplish.

Onsite Golf Course

For company parties we have an on-site 9-hole golf course that is great for in-house company tournaments.
Pleasanton Golf Center welcomes golfers of all ages and abilities. Whether you are just teeing it up for the first time or working to win your club championship, we have the course, equipment and practice facilities to help you reach your goals.

Weddings & Events 

The perfect place for an outdoor wedding & reception.  The perfect spot for an affordable large wedding.  A great place for large and small groups of all ages.

Receptions 

Looking for a place to get together with “all” your friends.  You get can afford to invite everyone at the Alameda County Fairground picnic sites.

A great place for children’s parties.  Have it catered and leave the work to us.  Lots of room for games, rides, balloon jump-ups and more.  Best of all when it’s over you leave the mess here instead of your home.

Adult Birthdays

Anniversaries

Looking for a location for your special event? We hope you will consider the Alameda County Fairgrounds wedding site first for your special needs! We can proficiently accommodate your needs for most weddings, company holiday parties, birthdays, and anniversaries. Menus range from barbecue to white linen cuisine, and everything in between. Sit-down, buffet or food stations, our team will customize every booking!

Bar Mitzvah/Bat Mitzvah

If your looking for a place that is private for your B’nei Mitzvah look at one of our seven picnic areas.  Seating from 75 to 2000 plus.  We have stages, risers and more to make your event absolutely perfect.
