Fancy felines from around the country will be on display and competing for Best Cat at the 37th annual Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) cat show presented by Crow Canyon Cat Club.

The Rex's curly coat, the Scottish Fold's unusual ears, and the Japanese Bobtail's pom-pom tail, as well as the distinctive looks of fluffy Persians and slinky Siamese, will easily be found among the more than 200 cats representing 40 breeds.

Feline Agility Competition is a spectator favorite, where cats run through the same type of course that is commonly seen in dog shows, only on a smaller scale, and with sometimes uniquely feline results!

In addition to the judging activities throughout the day, spectators will be able to see cats 'up close and purrsonal' while they wait to compete, and have an opportunity to vote for their favorite to win the Spectators Choice Award. Owners are happy to answer questions about their cats and many will have kittens for sale. Rescue groups will have adoptable cats and kittens hoping to find forever homes.

Vendors will have a large assortment of arts and crafts, toys, gifts and gadgets for cats and cat lovers alike.

Proceeds benefit Northern California animal rescue groups, support disaster relief, and help sponsor feline health research through grants from the Winn Foundation and UC Davis.

Crow Canyon Cat Club is a member of the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of all cats. CFA was founded in 1906 and is the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats with affiliated clubs producing more than 400 shows each year.
