My wife and I got hooked on the Alameda County Fair two years ago when we first happened upon it while looking for something new to do on a weekend. We rode our motorcycles to the Fair and were so impressed with the size and amount of activities and expositions, we ended up spending the whole day there, went back the following weekend, and still felt like we needed to come back another day. There was so much to do and eat that we could not wait for it to open last year, where we again went twice. This year, we continued to watch the Internet and when we found out about the pre-sale entry tickets, my wife went bought a dozen tickets the first day.

Thanks again for having such a beautiful, clean, and friendly Fair site. We were really impressed with how clean the Fair was. I commented to my wife that it seems that wherever you look, there is staff constantly emptying the trash and picking up garbage to help keep the site clean. We have been to almost all the county fairs in California, and this is by far the most professionally-run organization we have found. The staff is always ready to help and the vendors, as well as the customers, really seem to have a great time.

I want to take this last oportunity to again commend the staff and volunteers who run the Alameda County Fair for making this a truly fun and exciting experience for me and my wife.

I had a lovely time at the Fair last year. It's a very cool and fun place to be, with all the animals, events, and rides, along with food at the Fair. I also loved the artwork, and the exhibits in the main hall. I look forward to the Fair this year and I thank you all for the cool times i've had these past years!

I grew up in Oakland. One day each summer, my mom and dad would take my cousin and me to the Alameda County Fair. I have such vivid memories of the experience. First, it seemed like we drove a long long distance to get there. I was surprised when I grew up to find that it was only a 30 minute drive away. Our route to the Fair took us up Main Street, through a wondrous canopy of trees, and I can still see the pattern of light and shadow as we watched eagerly for the huge overhead sign which stretched all the way across the street, announcing our arrival in Pleasanton, home of the Alameda County Fair. Soon we would be parked in the huge field, and when our doors opened, the very air was magic. It was always so much warmer than when we got into the car at home, and we could smell the pungent scent of the field. When you''re young, things seem so much larger than life, and that was the impression I had of the Alameda County Fair. For that day, we found ourselves transported to "another world," a world of roller coasters and corn dogs. And what an adventure we had. What sweet memories we made. I still look forward to my annual visit to the Alameda County Fair, even though now I spend most of my time exploring the exhibits and shopping. And by the way, I still have to have a corn dog to complete my adventure, before heading home at last. Thanks for a wonderful Fair.

We love the Fair and look forward to it each year. Our daughter has entered her artwork and my husband has displayed a collection of trains, both of which won recognition. In fact, we enjoy it so much that we bring out of town guests. And, they enjoy it so much that they plan their next trip to coincide with the Fair...I really can't say enough about the years of good memories we have of attending the Fair. It will always be something we look forward to.

I have been celebrating my birthday at the Alameda County Fair every year that I have been able. The Fair always falls on my birthday. This year I am turning 70 and am looking forward to another fun day at the Fair with my children and grandchildren. I enjoy the crafts, quilts, and love to see the work of the children.
